Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Staff Human Resources will be implementing a campus-wide UCSC Staff Exit Interview Program effective December 1, 2010. The purpose of conducting exit interviews of staff employees voluntarily resigning is to obtain feedback about the UCSC work environment and the factors that may have led to an employee’s decision to leave employment. This feedback will help us make decisions that will enable us to recruit, hire, and retain the best qualified and most diverse workforce possible for our campus.
The exit interview process will be facilitated by the HR Partner who will be contacting the separating employee and will email a link to the online exit interview survey. The actual survey has 22 questions and will take anywhere from 10-25 minutes depending on how much feedback an employee has to share. Information gathered from the exit interviews will be summarized on a quarterly basis and individual responses will remain confidential.
Guidelines for the Exit Interview Program are located at: http://shr.ucsc.edu/shr-procedures/topics/exit-interview.htm
Please forward this email to anyone in your organization for whom it may have value. If you should have any questions, please contact your HR Partner.
