2024 Pre-Retirement Planning Program

Are you preparing for your retirement? Will you have enough income to live the lifestyle you desire? Do you know what happens when you are eligible for Medicare? Social Security? This annual series of workshops are targeted to those retiring in the next five years, and you are encouraged to attend all workshops, although everyone is welcome.


Every successful journey requires proper planning and preparation. And because this is especially true for retirement, the University of California is offering the Pathway to Retirement educational webcast to help faculty and staff plan for financial security and enjoy all that retirement brings. Estate Planning

This presentation explains wills, different types of trusts, durable powers of attorney, medical directives, the type of documents needed and why. Michelle provides comprehensive counsel to individuals who want to put a plan in place for the distribution of assets upon their death. Michelle works with executors, administrators, personal representatives and heirs, helping complete the steps required to settle the estate of a loved one.

Bridge to Retirement: Panel discussion with UC retirees

If you are considering retiring, this session is designed to help you start thinking about life after retirement.  A panel of retired staff and faculty will discuss their experiences transitioning into retirement and beyond.

Topics will include: making the most of your retirement; financial considerations; staying connected; opportunities that await you; RASC and UCSC support services, and potential hurdles. Bring your questions for a lively general discussion with the panel.  This presentation will be recorded.
