2013-14 Salary Increase

Re:       2013-2014 Salary Increase

As you may know, the University will be implementing salary increases effective July 1, 2013 for eligible policy-covered staff employees. I am writing to provide you with detailed information regarding the 2013-2014 salary increases and our campus implementation guidelines.

Eligibility

Professional and Support Staff (PSS) and Managers and Senior Professionals (MSP) employees are eligible for a 3% salary increase effective July 1, 2013 if they are:

  • An active policy-covered staff employee with a career or partial-year career appointment as of June 30, 2013.

  • An active policy-covered staff employee with a contract appointment which includes salary plan eligibility subject to PPSM Salary Policy 30 as of June 30, 2013.


Exclusions
PSS and MSP employees are not eligible for the 2013-14 Salary Plan if they are:

  • Casual/restricted appointments, i.e. Student employees.

  • Policy-covered employees not eligible under the UCRP guidelines, such as employees in limited appointments working less than a thousand hours in a rolling twelve month period or employees with per diem appointments.

  • Employees covered by a different salary program contract, i.e. UARC.

  • Employees in a contract appointment which does not include salary plan eligibility subject to PPSM Salary Policy 30 as of June 30, 2013.

  • Employees subject to corrective action within the Performance Management Process, which includes suspension up to termination of employment.

For bi-weekly paid employees meeting the eligibility criteria, the 3% salary increase will be reflected in July 17 paychecks. For monthly paid employees meeting the eligibility criteria, the 3% salary increase will be reflected in August 1 paychecks.
