I. Policy Summary

A permanent interdivision transfer occurs when an employee ends employment at one division/unit, to accept a new position within the same UC campus location. Employees who voluntarily accept a permanent new position are considered to have resigned their old position. Requirements for the amount of notice required vary, depending upon personnel program.

The unit has the authority to initiate transfer paperwork that will ensure accurate pay and transfer of leave accrual balances once the employee has submitted their letter of resignation and it is acknowledged by the supervisor in writing.
