UCSC Leadership Academy 2012

Leadership Academy Purpose:
To build a diverse pool of academic & staff employees with the knowledge and skills to be successful in leadership roles at UCSC.

Program Description:
The Leadership Academy will meet over a five-month period, from January through May 2012. Each session will highlight specific issues and challenges faced by UCSC leaders. Through presentation, discussion and experiential learning, participants will broaden their understanding of how UCSC operates and hone their leadership skills and abilities. The Academy provides a unique opportunity for cross-campus networking, and for dialogue with the Chancellor, Executive Vice Chancellor, and other campus leaders. There is no fee to participate.

Intended For:
Ladder rank faculty and staff employees, Senior Analyst PSS K – MSP V or equivalent, with a minimum of six months of service.

Application Process:
Applicants must commit to attending all sessions and to full participation in the 360° assessment process.

1. Download the Faculty Application Form or the Staff Application Form
2. E-mail the completed application with required supervisor approval to workshop@ucsc.edu by the November 1, 5:00 pm deadline. An optional letter of recommendation may be included with the application.
