Project Management Essentials
For those of you who manage projects, this 1-day project management class gives you simple techniques to map out your tasks, and to identify who is doing what by when so you can get things done effectively. Work with your colleagues on real UCSC projects in class and walk away with draft project plans. This hands-on workshop will give you repeatable tips to apply to future projects. (Formerly titled Project Management Intermediate)
Discover how to:
- Create a Project Overview to show the purpose and the magnitude of the project
- Break down projects into specific tasks showing what it will take to get the job done
- Identify who will do what on a project to move your project forward with commitment
- Apply effective scheduling to meet deadlines
- Prepare draft project plans on four to five UCSC projects and return to work ready to implement your tasks
