New Employee Action Request Processes

Staff Human Resources, in full partnership with Information Technology Services, has launched the digital transformation of the Employee Action Request (EAR) processes. These EAR processes include stipends, equities, job description updates, and classification reviews. This digital transformation:

  • enhances the user experience for requestors and approvers with features like auto-populating fields and email approvals, which will reduce time-consuming errors and route approvals more quickly
  • introduces transparency and accountability into the process by giving requesting units and SHR agents visibility to see their request as it moves through the stages from start to finish

How to transition from paper to digital...

The new tool is online now and you can start using it for your next EAR request! Just click the button above!

For the EAR packages you’ve already started on paper, you are welcome to finish those out and send them into us. For the entire month of September, we will continue to receive paper EAR packages. Beginning in October, we will ask for EAR packages to be submitted digitally.


How to become familiar with the new tool...

Even though we have designed this new tool to be intuitive and user friendly, we fully understand how helpful it can be to ask questions when running through a new process. With that in mind, we have created a few sessions where you can preview the tool, ask questions, and even get a behind-the-scenes peek of what it looks like from the SHR agents’ side. This training is geared toward requestors, since approvers only have to click a button in an email to select either approve or reject.

So, you can still reach out to your familiar Compensation analyst for any questions you have about the philosophy, policies, and processes.
