Re: Revisions to Personnel Policies for Staff Members (PPSM) 70–Complaint Resolution

Following universitywide review, the University of California, Office of the President has issued revisions to Personnel Policies for Staff Members (PPSM) 70–Complaint Resolution. The revised policy is effective July 1, 2012 and applies to Professional and Support Staff (PSS) employees and Managers and Senior Professionals (MSP) in Grades 1-7.

The revised policy provides detailed procedures that expand the opportunities to resolve complaints filed by policy-covered employees. The revisions better define the rights and responsibilities of both the employee and University, as well as provide transparency regarding the complaint resolution process.

The revised PPSM 70 Policy and Frequently Asked Questions are available on the At Your Service website. UCSC campus procedures are being developed to support the revised policy and will be distributed on campus and posted on the Staff Human Resources website.
