Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) is Now Live

June 01, 2020

Dear UCSC Staff,

TAM is here! This new recruitment management system in UCPath launched on Monday, June 1st.

Job Opening Request Form

Effective June 3rd, the RMS Worksheets will be retired. In their place will be a new Job Opening Request form in the Staff HR Services catalog within IT Request. This new form offers all of the same functionality previously handled by the RMS Worksheets, including competitive recruitments (open recruitments and campus-only recruitments), non-recruitments, waivers of recruitments, and job offers. The Job Opening Request is the main interface through which the campus will interact with the TAM module in UCPath.

If you have a Certified Hiring Manager

If your department has a certified hiring manager, please reach out to them as normal, instead of using the Job Opening Request form.

The New Recruitment Document Suite

Alongside the launch of TAM and the new Job Opening Request form, we are also rolling out a new Recruitment Document Suite using Google Drive. The Recruitment Document Suite contains a number of familiar (yet updated) documents, including screening matrices and recruitment selection logs that will help you and your hiring committee throughout the recruitment process. The Recruitment Document Suite also contains several documents which will be required to be completed before a hiring manager is able to identify their selected candidate to Staff HR Talent Acquisition.

Where to Apply for Jobs

The campus site for staff job postings has also undergone a change. There are now two different portals through which applicants can apply to staff jobs:

  • The Internal Candidate Gateway for current UCSC employee applicants
  • The External Candidate Gateway for non-UCSC applicants

Both gateways will be accessible from jobs.ucsc.edu. The Internal Candidate Gateway will also be accessible through your UCPath account, in your Recruiting Workcenter.
