2019-2020 Annual Performance Evaluation Due Dates

Re: REVISED AGAIN -- ePerformance due dates for all staff employee evaluations

This message contains an update about the due date of the 2019-2020 annual performance evaluations for represented and non-represented employees, information about an important change in the performance evaluation process as result of ePerformance implementation, and training opportunities for managers and supervisors on the new ePerformance tool.

Due Date for Non-Represented Staff Employees
Due to the ongoing wildfires impacting the Santa Cruz area, UC Santa Cruz is delaying the due date for non-represented staff employee performance evaluations for the 2019-2020 year. These evaluations were previously due on September 30, 2020; however, they will now be due Friday, October 30, 2020.

Due Date for Represented Staff Employees
The due date for all represented staff employees annual performance appraisals has also been delayed because of our local wildfires. These annual evaluations will now be due on  Wednesday, September 30, 2020 

How to Find your Evaluations
To see the performance evaluations assigned to you, please take the following steps:

  1. Go to https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu
  2. Log in with your CruzID and gold password
  3. In the left navigation panel, click Performance Workcenter
  4. Under the Manager Self Service section, click on the Teams Current Performance Docs link

Employee Self-Evaluations
In accordance with your Divisional practice, please encourage your employees to complete self-evaluations and provide a sufficient amount of time for them to be completed.

Important Note about Low Scoring Evaluations
ePerformance does not automatically notify ELR if a supervisor submits a low-rated performance evaluation. As a result, you must now notify ELR if you plan to rate an employee with less than Met Expectations prior to submitting the performance evaluation within the ePerformance system.

Training Opportunities
Staff Human Resources is offering a series of Zoom training sessions on the new process for annual performance evaluations, the ePerformance tool, and on goal setting for your employees. The next training session is scheduled for 9/15 from 1pm to 4pm.
