Insourcing at UCSC – Department Services and Contacts

Updated as of June 17, 2025:
A “denial of service” email from the insourcing unit is no longer required for covered services, but it is still encouraged. The insourcing units listed in the table below are currently part of the review process in ServiceNow. Each unit that provides a covered service on campus will assess whether they can complete the requested work internally. If a unit confirms they are unable to insource the work, the request will proceed through the standard approval process.

This list below should be used to determine if a unit needs to submit a Contracting Out Request to be reviewed.
