III. Process Overview

The Supervisor or Departmental HR Liaison notifies their assigned Employee Relations Analyst of employee(s)’s furlough dates in advance of the scheduled furlough period.

The Employee Relations (ER) Analyst or Departmental HR Liaison will initiate the “SHR Employee Annual Notice of Furlough” in DocuSign acting as the “Department Admin” for the purposes of the template. Instructions for initiating the template can be found here.

The ER Analyst will be in receipt of the initiated template in DocuSign and ensure that all information is correct ahead of authorizing the furlough notice by adding their signature. Finished copies will be automatically routed to the employee, their supervisor, and their timekeeper through DocuSign.

Any changes to the furlough period should be communicated immediately to the ER Analyst.
