The Benefits Office Staff administers comprehensive University benefits programs and provides information and counseling on benefits programs for academic appointees, staff and eligible dependents. This office is also responsible for the Employee Assistance Program and the Health Care Facilitator Program.
For your protection, please take care when sending your health condition in e-mail communications. The UC Santa Cruz e-mail system is not encrypted, therefore, to communicate your issue/question use as little Personal Health Information as possible. It is the policy of the University to use only the minimum necessary information, per HIPAA and other privacy requirements, to resolve our plan members’ issues.

Benefits Office staff members are generally available by phone or email from 8am – 12pm and 1pm – 5pm. If you wish to see a member in person, please contact the appropriate individual for an appointment.
