Termination of Career Employees – MSP

I. Summary

Managers and Senior Professionals (MSP) holding career appointments classified as a Manager 3 and below may be terminated when, in management’s judgment, the needs or resources of a department or the performance or conduct of an employee does not justify the continuation of an employee’s appointment.

III. Authority

An MSP employee’s supervisor has the authority to initiate and approve a termination action of an MSP employee after consultation with the appropriate Employee & Labor Relations (ELR) Analyst.
