Complete any open items on the New Employee Onboarding Checklist for Supervisors and retain a copy in your department’s personnel file.

  • Remind the new employee to sign up for benefits prior to the enrollment deadline
    • Period of initial eligibility is 31 days from the date of hire
  • Confirm the new employee has checked the campus online directory to make sure their name, contact information, CruzAlert, and emergency contacts are present and correct, including their office or cubicle number
  • Encourage the new employee to check the first paycheck information to ensure it reflects benefit plan choices, payroll deductions, and personal information correctly
