Preparation for Termination
Once the termination decision has been made, the supervisor should work with the Labor Relations analyst to finalize the notice of termination document. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring all attachments are labeled and included with the notice. The supervisor should approve and submit the final timesheet. The LR analyst will contact the appropriate individuals to ensure final pay is generated by the termination date.
An invite for a Zoom meeting should be sent to the employee. Prior to meeting with the employee, the supervisor and LR analyst will meet to discuss how the supervisor will conduct the meeting and prepare a script if necessary. If the employee declines the Zoom meeting, the notice of termination and attachments will be sent via U.S. Mail. See the section on "Delivering the Notices" for more information.
