Talent Acquisition OFFICE HOURS – Tuesdays @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Talent Acquisition Office Hours (Drop in & Waiting Room):

Our weekly Open Office Hours are intended to provide easy access to support without an appointment. This is especially helpful for routine questions or quick clarifications that don’t warrant a formal meeting but still require timely input from the TA Team.

The TA team will be available to answer questions regarding: steps & tools for starting a recruitment, screening/interviewing fair hiring best practices, the departmental informal offer process, TA conditional offer process, tools/processes from job posting to orientation for Supervisors.

Fair Hiring Training

Please review our Fair Hiring Guidelines for best practices to ensure fairness and excellence in all stages of the recruitment process.

HMs and Search Committee Chairs must complete the Fair Hiring training before conducting a recruitment and must renew their training every two years.

The Fair Hiring Best Practices training will help participants identify and review:

  • Federal and state laws and UC policies and procedures that govern hiring practices
  • Strategies and techniques for ensuring equity through identification and management of biases that may influence search or hiring processes
  • The important roles committee chairs and individual committee members play in making a successful hire

Implicit Bias Training

The UC Managing Implicit Bias Series reinforces the University of California (UC) values that enable the University to attract and retain a top talent workforce. UC People Managers and those involved in the selection process for an open recruitment should be aware of implicit bias and how it impacts the way we work and interact with others.

While each of the modules in the series provide rich and meaningful content around implicit bias, the “Managing Implicit Bias in the Hiring Process” module is the most relevant to the recruiting process.

You can sign up for these modules through the UC Learning Center. Non-UC employees can access these modules through the system-wide HR e-courses.
